[PRESS RELEASE] Jordy Lishious switches to Jordy Dazz

Jordy van Oostveen, has decided to change his artist-name to Jordy Dazz. 8 years ago the DJ / Producer from Tilburg, Holland started his musical journey as Jordy Lishious, but he is now ready for the next step in his career, with a more solid progressive / big room sound and a name that fits with this new resonance.

Jordy: ”The track “Lump” (released on Hardwell’s massive Revealed Recordings last year) was the first track I produced that had a different vibe according to my other productions. Since the reactions on “Lump” were so big, and with support from Tiesto, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Fedde le Grand, Armin van Buuren, Dada Life and many more, I immediately knew I was on the right path, musically-wise. The name “Jordy Lishious” didn’t feel right to me anymore, as I was adapting to a much bigger and more international sound. I wanted a more smashing, less cheesy name, so I decided to change my name to Jordy Dazz, which simply means “the best of both worlds”.

To celebrate this new stage in his career, Jordy Dazz decided to give away a free bootleg of Lana Del Rey’s “Videogames” on his brand-new Facebook page. Tiesto, Hardwell and Marcel Woods have already supported this special remix.

“Dancefair”, a new electronic music fair, (11th and 12th of February in Utrecht, The Netherlands) has asked Jordy to be one of their key speakers. Famous DJ’s, producers, engineers and music software designers from around the world will be giving Q&A’s, seminars during this two-day convention. Jordy will show and analyse how he produced his track “Lump”, and reveals the story behind this creation. Watch the video below for a preview.
